HG8240 is a highly cost-effective high performance optical network terminal (ONT) that delivers ultra-broadband access to home and SOHO users. It is FCC and UL certified with a compact, aesthetic enclosure ideal for indoor applications. Its two POTS and Four ethernet ports can accommodate current and future home applications. The HG8240’s rich feature set makes it the ideal ONT for FTTH deployments – enabling voice, video and data applications at home.

The HG8240 offers a number of features that help carriers implement their business strategies: Triple Play services, Tiered services up to Gigabit speeds, and different Layer2/Layer3 network deployment models. To help carriers address operational challenges, Huawei provides automatic provisioning, network monitoring, remote maintenance and management.
